a dose of calm…….
Clear blocked energy and release stress
Your body is made up of trillions of cells that vibrate at different frequencies.
The thoughts you think and your surroundings all have a vibration that affects you on a physiological level.
Sound waves travel to and through every cell in your body, not just your ears.
As your body starts to attune to the vibrational energy, and the frequencies align, you can begin to access positive states like ease, calm, peace, joy, and balance.
The tones of the sound bowls and gongs are warm, comforting, and put us into a more relaxed brainwave state, allowing for
deep rest, creativity, and rejuvenation.
Raise your vibration through the power of sound healing!

What is sound healing?
Sound has been utilized in various cultures for thousands of years as a tool for connection, communication, and even healing.
Whether through the use of mantras, the medicine melodies of various indigenous peoples around the world, or Pythagoras’ use of interval and frequency, these techniques all have the same intention: to move us from a place of imbalance to a place of greater balance in the mind and body, bringing peace, calm and joy.
Sound healing can be performed through chanting, singing, kirtan, and a range of instruments such as gongs, bowls, bells, or drums.
Sound is a form of energy that carries information. Each sound wave vibrates at a different frequency. Our hearts, our brains and indeed all our individual cells pick up on the vibration of everything around us.
Sound baths help to facilitate shifts in our brainwave state by using entrainment. Entrainment synchronizes our fluctuating brainwaves by providing a stable frequency which the brainwave can attune to. By using rhythm and frequency, we can entrain our brainwaves and it then becomes possible to down-shift our
normal beta state (normal waking consciousness) to alpha (relaxed consciousness), and even reach theta (meditative state) and delta (sleep; where internal healing can occur).
This same concept is utilized in meditation by regulating the breath, but with sound it's the frequency that is the agent which influences the shift.

Sound Healing & the 7 Chakras
Because so many people ask about it, I have incorporated this section on Chakras.
It is important to know that I have not studied this system. And while many people ascribe certain musical notes (and colors) to the individual Chakras, this is not something that is a part of my belief system. That said, if you as the client bring an understanding of Chakras to to your session, and a desire to unblock any of them to facilitate better energy flow, I am here to assist you.
What are Chakras?
Chakras are an ancient energy system that emerged in the writings of the Vedas, ancient Hindu philosophical texts that were written between 1500 and 500 B.C.E. The Vedas are a collection of poems, hymns, and spiritual writings that impart knowledge of the religion of Hinduism.
What are the 7 main chakras?
The chakra system refers to the energy centers it is believed by some that we have in our bodies. There are seven major chakras, each in a specific location along your spine. Let’s look at each one more closely.
Root chakra
The root chakra, or Muladhara, is located at the base of your spine. It provides you with a base or foundation for life, and it helps you feel grounded and able to withstand challenges. Your root chakra is responsible for your sense of security and stability.
Sacral chakra
The sacral chakra, or Svadhisthana, is located just below your belly button. This chakra is responsible for your sexual and creative energy. It’s also linked to how you relate to your emotions as well as the emotions of others.
Solar plexus chakra
The solar plexus chakra, or Manipura, is located in your stomach area. It’s responsible for confidence and self-esteem, as well as helping you feel in control of your life.
Heart chakra
The heart chakra, or Anahata, is located near your heart, in the center of your chest. It comes as no surprise that the heart chakra is all about our ability to love and show compassion.
Throat chakra
The throat chakra, or Vishuddha, is located in your throat. This chakra has to do with our ability to communicate verbally.
Third eye chakra
The third eye chakra, or Ajna, is located between your eyes. You can thank this chakra for a strong gut instinct. That’s because the third eye is responsible for intuition. It’s also linked to imagination.
Crown chakra
The crown chakra, or Sahasrara, is located at the top of your head. Your Sahasrara represents your spiritual connection to yourself, others, and the universe. It also plays a role in your life’s purpose.
Are the Bowls Magic?
Here are a couple of good articles to explore more about sound healing in depth. There are a lot of exaggerated claims and hyperbole about sound healing out there. It is very similar to the world of exaggerated massage claims, so for me it's important to stick to what I believe sound healing can and likely can't do.
What You Need to Know about Sound Healing
The bowls and gongs themselves are not magic. I use instruments on and off the body to create vibrational energy which will help to bring you into a relaxed state, open to healing and multiple psychological and physical benefits. The sound helps takes you to a relaxed state to facilitate that which is within you.
This type of sound therapy has been associated in some cases to aid in reducing anxiety and depression; ease pain; lower blood pressure; and create an overall more relaxed state of body and mind.
